Mesa Verde, the hot, dusty portal to the Ancients. After the many tantrums and emotional break downs we witnessed, I believe kids don't find this to be an anthropologic Disneyland. Maybe it's the hot and dusty hikes, the sweaty sunscreen stinging their eyes, or a belly full of overheated deli meats their parents brown bagged in? Maybe they're just bored and don't like being bitten by flies?

Fire Damage "Spruce Tree House" Tower of Power

Although their stonework was impressive, it blew my mind that the Ancients had mastered extruded aluminum ladders.

Noël explores the subterranean "Trail of Tears." There were many crying kids wilting in the heat on their way back to the visitor center. From a distance one may ask "was there life?"

Zoom in and you'll find not one, but two towers of power!
